Nigeria’ll soon overcome its problems — Gen Abdulsalam

Former Head of State, General Abdusalam Abubakar  (retd), has stated that the  nation will soon overcome  its challenges.
Speaking with newsmen in Makurdi, Benue State capital, yesterday, after paying courtesy call on the state governor, Mr Gabriel Suswam, General Abdusalam stated that the security challenges the nation was passing through would not disintegrate the country.
According to him, “This is not the first time I am saying this, all the secession threats here and there with the security challenges are mere noise because we intermingle. Wherever you  go, you see Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo Kanuri people  and others; so there is nothing that can break up this country, because God has brought us together.”
He, however, called on Nigerians not to leave the security issue to government alone, saying, “government alone cannot do this, every citizen must join hands with government to tackle the problem of insecurity.”
The former Head of State urged Nigerian youths to  strive towards building a strong and virile nation, stating that the future of the country lied in their hands.
While commending Governor Suswam for his developmental projects in the state, Abdusalam said that the administration of Suswam had impacted positively on the lives of the people of the state.
