We ‘re not thinking of 2015 – PDP

By Henry Umoru ABUJA—
National Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said it was neither thinking of nor distracted by the politics of 2015.
The party also said it was not broke, adding that PDP believed in all-inclusive government, as it would discourage a winner-takes-all situation.
Speaking with journalists, PDP National Organising Secretary, Mr. Abubakar Mustapha, who noted that the party was concentrating on providing dividends of democracy to the people through its elected members, cautioned its members with political ambitions to hold on until the party takes a decision.
He said: “PDP as a party and government at the centre is not thinking of 2015 yet. What the party and indeed the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan are concerned with is how to deliver on good governance.
“The party has made promises to the electorate and the party is working hard to deliver on its promises and give to the people dividends of democracy. It would, therefore, be premature to be talking of 2015 at this time.
“At the right time, the party will take a decision as to when preparations would commence. We don’t want diversion and we don’t want to be diverted. Governance is a serious business.
Those saddled with governance should be allowed to deliver. As a serious party, we are supporting Mr. President to deliver and he can only do this when he is not distracted”
