If It's Not About 2015, Why Arrest Lamido's Son And Not Those Stealing Trillions, Says Lamido Ally

altA close ally of Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, Alhaji Adamu Isa Indallahi, has said that no one can intimidate or blackmail Lamido out of the 2015 Presidential race.
Alhaji Adamu Isa Indallahi, who also doubles at the Jigawa State Secretary of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) raised posers as to why Lamido's son was arrested when there were people stealing huge sums.
According to Indallahi, “We are aware that the battle for the 2015 Presidential election has begun. The arrest of Aminu  Lamido by the EFCC for possessing extra 40,000 is an attempt to get at the governor over his perceive presidential ambition.
“This is country where trillions are stolen every day. This young man was going to treat his ailing daughter. For your information, in Jigawa state hundreds of people have been sponsored by the state government to undergo operation in India and Egypt. I see nothing special about Aminu going to Egypt to treat his daughter. They are just out to tarnish the image of the governor in the eye of Nigerians.
“Sule lamido has delivered democracy dividend to the people of Jigawa and even President Goodluck Jonathan  acknowledged that when he visited Jigawa to commission monumental projects completed by the Lamido administration.”
In recent times, there have been reports that former President Olusegun Obasanjo was working behind the scenes for a Lamido/Amaechi joint ticket in 2015. In political circles this speculation was further strengthened when Lamido refused to travel with the president despite the fact that he had been invited to join the president's official entourage to Botswana and Malawi.
Lamido is a close ally of former President Obasanjo whom he served loyally and meritoriously as Foreign Minister until he was assisted to become governor of Jigawa in 2007. His second term ends in 2015.
