383 Ekiti LG workers get N121m loan

Ekiti-State-Governor-Kayode-Fayemi-360x225No fewer than 383 council workers in Ekiti State will benefit from the new Local Government  workers loans scheme by the state government.
According to a statement in Ado Ekiti on Monday, the  Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Chief Ranti Adebisi, said this during a meeting  with the executive members of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, Ekiti  State chapter.
He said the disbursement of the loans to the beneficiaries would hold on Friday.
Adebisi said, “A sum of N121, 150,000 has been approved by the state government to cater for the beneficiaries in the  first phase of the loan disbursement.
“The commission will organise a seminar  for the workers on loan management in order to educate them on how best to make use of the loans to improve their standard of living.
“While 192 local government workers would benefit from the housing loan scheme, 191 would benefit from the car loan scheme.”
The President of NULGE in the state, Mr. Dele Ajayi, expressed appreciation to the chairman for the recognition given to the Union.
