A patent medicine seller, Clement Aso, 32, was on Friday
arraigned before a Makurdi Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly
killing a customer, Terdoo Ordiir, after administer injection on him.
Prosecuting Godwin Ebonyi told the court that the accused person had
on Jan. 13, administered procaine penicillin injection on the deceased,
which made him slumped and died instantly.
Ebonyi said that the accused was arrested during police investigation and had confessed committing the offence.
However, when the case came up before the court, no plea was taken.
The prosecutor informed the court that investigation was ongoing and applied for an adjournment of the case.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Dan Ogo, ordered that the accused should be
remanded in prison and adjourned the matter to Feb. 8, for further
