The
people of Ondo State have been assured of accelerated development
during the second term of Dr Olusegun Mimiko-led administration in the
state.
The coordinator of the Mimiko Support Group, Mr Oluseyi Adeniyi, who
stated this in Akure, noted that the level of development that the
state had witnessed in the past four years was a pointer to good things
to come.
He also said the spate of work going on in the state showed that
there would be no complacency during the secon term of the governor.
Adeniyi specifically mentioned that Ore industrial area, the
independent power plant project (IPP) to power the industrial area in
the state, the gas project and many more developmental projects that
were at various advanced stages, would be completed.
He added that the governor would not be deterred by unnecessary transition process as he was not new on the job.
According to him, “When we talk about governance in this state, Dr
Olusegun Mimiko is not new in this aspect. That is why in the past four
years, the governor has continued to always embark on people-oriented
projects that would stand the test of time. What we are going to witness
in the next four years in Ondo state is accelerated development in
every sectors in the state as the governor has used his first term to
lay the foundation for this.
“We should not forget that the laudable initiatives and projects of
the governor have put Ondo state into the global reckoning to the extent
that many of these projects have been adopted by international bodies.
The governor will use the next four years to consolidate on these
achievements.”
The group also pointed out that in the coming months that the ideal
of which Dr Mimiko stands for would be taken round the globe with the
lauch of “Mimiko Support Group” slated for United State of America (US),
