PDP’ll overcome its challenges

Chairman, Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, has expressed optimism that the party will overcome its current challenges.
A statement by Olaoluwa, on Tuesday, said the PDP at national, state and local government levels remained one united family despite the internal wrangling besetting the party.
The statement assured the people that the crises in the party were being resolved.
Reacting to the sacking of the South-West executive of the party headed by former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Segun Oni, Olaoluwwa said the PDP “is capable of surmounting any challenge and remain one”.
The statement came on the heels of wrangling that has pitted loyalists of President Goodluck Jonathan within the PDP against the loyalists of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
It said the PDP had rules and regulations that were capable of resolving controversies.
“We are capable of resolving our crises. The party, despite its largeness, is a testimony of an open display of best democratic norms. There are bound to be challenges but we remain resolute in keeping our house in order and giving Nigerians the best of democratic dividends,” he said.
