5,000 to benefit from church’s N10m vouchers

No fewer than 5,000 underprivileged persons in Lagos State will benefit from Global Harvest Church’s N10m shopping vouchers during the Easter celebration. Senior Pastor, GHC, Victor Adeyemi, said the less-privileged would use the vouchers to shop for food items, clothing and other materials freely during the celebration.
Adeyemi said the programme entitled, ‘Shop for Free’, is a social impact activity geared towards bringing smiles on the faces of the poor during festive periods.
“The poor are at the very heart of our Lord. He fed them and provided their daily needs, but our nation has been on the verge of social challenges which has resulted in unemployment, insecurity and high rise of poverty across the country,” Adeyemi said.
He said the gesture was the church’s little contribution towards tackling societal challenges.
Adeyemi added, “Food items, clothing and other materials will be purchased with the money.
“Also, individuals partnering the church will also support with their various articles that will be displayed at the various stores erected on the church premises where the beneficiaries can come in and shop for what they need. The ‘shop-for-free will hold on Good Friday.
