Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on Monday inaugurated his newly reconstituted cabinet.
He warned the commissioners against indulging in acts that could tarnish their image.
Mimiko described the commissioners as tested technocrats and seasoned professionals, who had distinguished themselves in their various fields of human endeavours.
The governor hinted that he re-appointed most of the people that served during his first tenure because they performed well.
He advised them to carry their workers along in policy formulation and implementation to achieve positive results because the administration would be performance driven.
He reminded the appointees of the need to live above board, and urged them to always have it at the back of their minds that transparency and accountability remained core values of his administration.
He added, “Most of you were re-appointed because you are tested technocrats and you have distinguished yourselves in the implementation of programmes and policies in your various ministries because you have a clearunderstanding of our vision.
“You should allow your wealth of experiences to bear on your new mandate. You must be loyal and discharge your duties without fear or favour.”
The new commissioners and their potfolios are, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN (Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice; Mr. Kayode Akinmade (Information); Chief Sola Ebiseni (Environment), Mr. Gboye Adegbenro (Works); Chief Nicholas Tofowomo (Transport) and Mr. Deji Falae (Culture and Tourism).
Others are, Dr. Dayo Adeyanju (Health); Chief Yele Ogundipe (Finance); Mr. Akin Adaramola (Budget and Economic Planning) Lady Olayemi Mahmud (Women Affairs) and Mr. Remi Olatubora (Adult and Vocational Education), among others.
