BAUCHI State governor, Mallam Isa Yuguda, has said that Dr Olusegun
Mimiko’s victory in last Saturday's governorship election in Ondo State
is a testimony of the acceptability of his good works in the state in
the past four years.
Yuguda, according to a press release from the
Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Mr Michael Adeyemi, while
congratulating Dr Mimiko for the success at the polls, advised him to
be magnanimous in victory.
He said the large turnout of voters in the election was a sign of the people's acceptance of Mimiko’s developmental works.
Governor
Yuguda commended the people of the state for expressing their minds
through their votes, in a most peaceful manner as no violence was
recorded before, during and after the election, pointing out that what
they did was a confirmation that democracy remained the most effective
form of governance.
Yuguda urged Governor Mimiko to ensure that
his administration continued with the good works it started to make the
state better developed.
While urging on the people of Ondo State
to promote peaceful co-existence in the state as peace and unity were
must needed at this period, Yuguda called on the people of the state to
support the Mimiko administration to enable it succeed.
