Ekiti PDP regroups ahead 2014 gov poll

Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday held a meeting in Ado-Ekiti to strategies ahead the 2014 governorship election in the state.
Among those present at the meeting were the Chairman of the party in the state, Mr. Makanjuola Ogundipe; Minister of Police Affairs, Navy Capt. Caleb Olubolade; Senator Gbenga Aluko, Ropo Adesanya, Senator Bode Olowoporoku, Duro Faseyi and Justice Edward Ojuolape (retd).
Former Governor Ayo Fayose and his predecessor, Segun Oni, were absent at the meeting.
The Minister of Police Affairs, in an interview with journalists, said the meeting was to reposition the party ahead of the governorship election in 2014.
He said, “This is a meeting of the leaders of the party in the state. This meeting was designed to bring about unity and progress for our party and I am happy to be a part of it.”
