K.1 Vs Pasuma: Another War Boils In Fuji Fold

WHEN will the lingering war in the house of Fuji music in Nigeria end? This seems to be the question agitating the minds of Fuji music fans and stakeholders, as the rumour of a smouldering war between two leading Fuji acts, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, a.k.a Arambambi 1, and Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, a.k.a Arambambi 2, went abroad recently.
It is being said that the two acts are spoiling for what may be described as mother of war in the Fuji Kingdom. What makes the unfolding drama particularly interesting is that Pasuma had always sided with K 1 in previous fights within ‘the house of Fuji’.

Unknown to many, the rift had been on silently for many months. It all started when Pasuma had attempted to establish a relationship with former Lagos State governor and national leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a development which K1 was said to have frowned on.

Showbiz Today gathered that Musiliu Akinsanya, a top member of the National Union of Road Transport Union Workers, NURTW, took Pasuma to the Burdillon Street, Ikoyi home of the former governor of Lagos State.

“This whole thing started when Pasuma was taken to Tinubu’s house. Don’t forget, Tinubu is literally K1’s biggest pot of soup at the moment. Despite their closeness, Pasuma never made it into the list of favoured musicians of the party. So, KI considers Pasuma’s visit to Asiwaju Tinubu’s residence as a serious act of betrayal; so, he scolded him. Although Pasuma apologized to K I, he believed he (K1) is not a good leader,” the source said.

Consequently, Pasuma was said to have shared his encounter with some of his close friends and confidants.

Besides, he allegedly vowed to stop operating under the shadow of the K1.
This, however, got to the knowledge of another Fuji music star, Abass Akande Obesere, who was said to have let the cat out of the bag. This, according to our findings, was to realize a hidden agenda.

Pasuma, Showbiz Today learnt, had promised that he would honour the popular Yoruba actress, Mrs. Idowu Phillips, a.k.a Iya Rainbow, with a live performance with K1 during her 70th birthday.

As a result, he was said to have even printed invites, bearing his pictures together with K 1 and Iya Rainbow. To make good his promise, he later went in company with Iya Rainbow to see K 1.

At the meeting, the Fuji lord promised to confirm attendance before the event. But he shocked them when he avoided their calls after they had left. And he didn’t attend the event.

The source further revealed: “Pasuma was, therefore, compelled to declare his independence on the occasion of Iya Rainbow’s birthday because of all the ill-treatment he had suffered in the hands of K 1.”

Thus, Pasuma disowned K I and his Arabambi tittle during the birthday gig organized for Iya Rainbow.

Following the pronouncement, he now prefers to be addressed as Oganla 1.

In a recent chat with Showbiz Today, the Orobokibo Fuji musician said, “I am now Oganla 1. I am old enough to be on my own. This is my 26th year as a Fuji act and I don’t need to be under the shadow of anybody before I survive. I am Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Oganla of Fuji music worldwide. ”

Expectedly, this development has since pitched their respective loyalists against one another.
