Warder, 3 others nabbed for robbery

The newly created zone 10 special anti- robbery squad established by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG),Mr Mohammed  Abubakar, to combat crime in Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states has arrested a prison warder and three others for armed robbery.
A statement made available to the Nigerian Tribune in Gusau, Niger Stae, on Saturday,  signed by the deputy zonal Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mr Lawal Abdullah,stated that the anti-robbery squad was created to complement the efforts of  state commands in the zone.
The statement gave the name of the prison warder as 30-year-old Yunusa Haruna, attached to Argungu Prison headquarters in Kebbi State. While other members of the gang were Saiba Aliyu, Musa Salihu Kamba and Musa Sulaiman.
According to the statement, the hoodlums were arrested on  October 10 following a tip.
Items recovered include two Toyota Corolla and one Honda Civic with purported stickers of M.K Motor as disguise, while a Honda End of Discussion, which was reported to have been collected at gun point in Wuse 2 area of Abuja was equally recovered.
The suspects, according to the statement, have made confessional statements to the police.
While commending the anti-robbery squad for a job well done, the AIG reiterated the readiness of the police to reward officers who perform gallantly in the discharge of their duties.
The suspects, the statement added would  be arraigned before a court of law prosecution.
