Small-scale entrepreneurs send SOS to Jonathan

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), AB Microfinance Bank (AB-MFB) has donated gift items to Little Saints Orphanage Home, Akowonjo and Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care and Treatment Home School, Akoka Lagos. According to the bank, the donations are made annually to communities where it is resident as some of the items donated to the homes include: Deep freezer, Water Dispenser, Toiletries, Food stuff, among others.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, Marketing Manager of the bank, Mr. Lucky Benjamin said that the bank is committed to identifying with the needy and the active poor, adding that the donation is a replica of impacting the nation and building the people, “We build our community, we build our nation we build people because we know that when we build one person we are building a nation.”
Also, the Iyana-Ipaja Branch Manager, Felicia Omozeje said, “This donation is about granting access to those who have been neglected by the society, by their family or as a result of a situation and these are people who do not have access.”
“This gesture is part of our CSR, given that we have been doing it from inception, apart from this, there are other things we do in affecting the society, we encourage children who are going to school with school bags, books, text books at the beginning of the term.”
“We are quite impressed with what we see and we are impressed that we have opportunity to invest into the lives of these little children who are the future of this country.”
Omozeje commended on the pioneers of the various homes, stating “We appreciate the founder and those working here we say thank you and we look forward to the future when these children will begin to make a positive impact in their generation.
However, founder of Little Saints Orphanage Home, Rev. Dele George, represented by Missionary Mary Samson commended the bank, urging that other Nigerians take a cue from the gesture as the project demands collective effort.
