Suspected Terrorists Planned To Bomb ANC Conference Venue – SA Police


The South African Police Services (SAPS) confirmed that the four suspected terrorist activities were directed at the African National Congress (ANC) national elective conference in Mnagung.
Billy Jones, South African Police Service (SAPS) Spokesperson, said on Tuesday that the suspected terrorists had the intentions to bomb the venue of the ANC conference.
“At this stage we can confirm that their activities were directed to harm innocent people of this country and also we established that it was directed at ANC Mangaung Conference,’’ Jones said.
He said the four suspected right-wing members would be charge to court on Tuesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the suspect were arrested on Monday.
Meanwhile, the newly established Federal Freedom Party (FFP) claimed two of the men arrested were their members.
FFP is an organisation that promotes self-determination of the Afrikaner and Boer (white South African) people.
SAPS said that the case was at a sensitive stage and that more arrests were imminent.
