Rep donates N13m water project in C’River

Member representing Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi in the House of Representatives, Mr. Essien Ayi, has pleaded with residents of Afokang and its environs to protect their N13m water project.
Ayi made the appeal at Ward 11, Calabar South while inaugurating the project.
He added that the project was to meet the water needs of the people.
The lawmaker also urged the people to ensure judicious use of the facility.
Also speaking, the Peoples Democratic Party chapter chairman for Calabar South, Mr. Essien Ekpenyong, urged the people, particularly the women, to see the water project as their personal property.
A party leader, Chief Marjorie Asuquo, thanked Ayi for fulfilling his electioneering promise to the people.
Asuquo, who was the former chairman of Calabar-South, recalled that during his campaign, the people appealed to him to provide water for them since they were in dire need of it.
