FORMER Osun State governor, Alhaji Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, has said
that the death of Senator Olusola Saraki, rather than being mourned,
should call for celebration.
"His death should be a celebration of an icon and a political idol,
whose enviable, incorruptible lifestyle, tenacity of purpose, political
sagacity and wizardry, which he tailored towards selfless service to
humanity, spanning decades, shall be very difficult to surpass.
He described the deceased as “one of the very few Nigeria was blessed
with and a resourceful and consummate elder statesman with God-fearing
disposition, true and resilient commitment to enthronement of democracy
that every Nigerians now enjoys.”
Speaking further, he said that “the late Saraki raised the bar of
politics without bitterness and will be greatly missed for his
“political candour, flexibility and elegant demeanour.”
